Heath Davies, Chief Executive Officer, Sword Group
As Chief Executive Officer, Heath Davies has responsibility for the future direction and strategy of Sword Group. Heath is also a member of the board of directors and the executive management committee Sword Group. Heath joined Sword Group in 2002 and has served in a number of leadership positions over the last five years including most recently COO. Heath has been instrumental in leading the company to a market leadership position. Most recently, Heath has been responsible for growing the company’s operations substantially in North American and Asia-Pacific markets as well as further develop the Group’s EMEA presence. Prior to Sword, John was Director of Operations at Text Systems and Sales Director of Cimage systems. Heath has a B.S. from the University of Greenwich and is a National Engineering Scholarship winner, from the National Engineering Council, UK.
Tony Holland, Chief Operating Officer
Tony holds the role of Chief Operating Officer for Software of Sword Group. With responsibility for Sword’s software portfolio Tony is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Sword Intech. Tony joined Sword Group in 2005, prior to this he was Executive Managing Director of Insurance Technology Solutions. The first part of Tony Holland's career was focused on financial services, particularly international brokering, after which he joined Lloyd’s Corporation.
Eugene Brien, Director of UK Operations
Having been with Intech for over 8 years and worked within the Insurance sector in excess of 30 years, Eugene brings a wealth of experience to the team responsible for satisfying the Lloyd’s and London markets.
David Warren, Director of US Operations
David Warren is the Director of Sword Intech in the US, Swords insurance software division based out of Manhattan, NY.
David has spent the last 6 months successfully spearheading the company’s North American expansion in the Property and Casualty space. Prior to assuming his post at Intech David worked for 7 years in the provision and delivery of enterprise software and services to large global financial services companies such as UBS, Standard and Poor’s, JP Morgan and Visa.
Stuart Browes, Director of Bermuda Operations
Stuart joined Sword Intech 10 years ago as a business analyst and held a number of roles in the UK before taking on his current role as director of the operations in Bermuda.
Prior to joining Sword Intech Stuart started his career in a regional broking house focusing on small to middle market commercial risk then in 19992 Stuart joined with Allianz, initially as an underwriter, becoming a London Market Operations Manager in the London Underwriting Centre. Stuart is a member of a number of institutions including being a Member of Project Management Institute, Member of the Society of Fellows (CII), an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
John Pomeroy, Business Development Director
John Pomeroy is an experienced sales and market development manager with a diverse portfolio of expertise and responsibilities, having been instrumental in building and managing several international software businesses.
In his role at Sword, John is involved in driving the growth of the various market leading application software products and the integration and leverage into the Group of acquired companies. His responsibilities include the development and fostering of international technology partnerships, distribution and fulfilment channels to accelerate Sword’s international growth.
Prior to joining Sword John held a number of senior management positions at Xerox, Documentum and EMC managing the sales and channel development of various products, each becoming leaders in their respective markets. Driven by an infectious enthusiasm for the market and passionate about success of both the customer and his 'team', he has a reputation for developing and maintaining 'win:win' relationships.
David Poynter, Product Director
David Poynter is Product Director for Sword Intech; responsible for product strategy and direction.
He has a wealth of knowledge of the group, his previous roles include Director of Sales & Marketing & Director of Implementation, during this time he was responsible for the successful development and roll out of the Zygoware platform.
Before joining Sword Intech David worked for a large managing agent as Information Technology Manager.
Prior to working within IT David qualified as an Actuary for a large life insurer.
David has a BSc 2:1 in Pure Mathematics from Kent University.
John Krekis, Implementation Director
John Krekis has over 20 years’ experience at a senior level in the insurance market having joined Sword Intech from Amsphere where he was Operations Director, responsible for delivery and quality assurance.
Prior to that John was IT Director at BRIT, the international general insurance and reinsurance group specialising in commercial insurance where he was responsible for the development and implementation of a new group-wide software solution.
